I have hemophilia,

Just what does that mean-ia?

My blood doesn’t clot like most people’s does,

If I get injured, there could be a flood! (Just kidding!)

I bleed inside; sometimes it‘s really painful,

Then comes the infusion, I find it disdainful.

I am lucky I guess, good treatment is available,

Just wishing instead of pokes it could be inhalable.

With all of the poking, sometimes I feel like crying,

But it’s better than the alternative, and that’s no lying!
